11-12 June 2019 | Shanghai

#Citypreneurs #innovation #startup #socialimpact #UN #SDGs #2030Agenda #SmartSustainableCities #Shanghai #CESAsia #tech4good

Citypreneurs is kicking off our 2019 season in Shanghai! Join us at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show Asia (CES Asia), the fastest growing consumer electronics trade show in Asia. Heeding the call of the SDGs, Citypreneurs is excited to bring you a program that centers sustainability, innovation and inclusion within the tech industry to solve pressing global challenges.

We’ll also be featuring EidWare, the First Prize winner from Urban Innovation Challenge: Citypreneurs 2017. We invite you to discover their SDG-aligned products at the Citypreneurs booths, located at SNIEC Hall W5, and hear them speak at our workshop and panels.

Check out the program and signup details below. We can’t wait to see you there!

For the first time in history, half of the population in Asia live in urban areas, creating more pressures on cities to host an ever-increasing number of people and do so in a sustainable and inclusive way. Technological change is speeding up at the same time as climate change and inequality are becoming more difficult to mitigate. How can we harness technology and innovation to solve our biggest challenges rather than contribute towards them?

Join Citypreneurs at our event "Tech4good: Innovate Locally, Impact Globally" to be held at the Consumer Electronics Show Asia to discuss how start-ups, investors, and the tech industry can be a powerful force to reduce poverty, generate opportunity, and protect the environment.

Venue: Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC)

No.2345 Longyang Road, Pudong New District, Shanghai, China

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a universal and visionary framework for global cooperation and action to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind. More and more businesses and investors understand that addressing the SDGs represents good business: by providing a conducive environment for long term profits and by developing solutions for these global challenges, they can be at the forefront of new markets. This hands-on workshop is targeted towards impact-driven start-ups and established businesses aiming to integrate sustainability into their core business and align their business model with the SDGs.
