Key Initiative
Founded in 1946 with the United Nations, WFUNA has worked in partnership with civil society to contribute to the goals of the UN. Since the establishment of the Seoul Secretariat in 2015, WFUNA has cooperated with local governments in the Asia-Pacific and Africa to enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem for the benefit of the planet and society through the CITYPRENEURS program. The CITYPRENEURS Program has accelerated more than 300 start-ups and thousands of entrepreneurs, who can contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and tackling urban issues.


Mission
Working as a part of UN system, WFUNA has contributed to the advancement of human rights, settlement of peace, and education of youth as a bridge between the UN and the civil societies of states.
With the General Consultative Status granted by the UN ECOSOC since 1947, WFUNA intends to organize and deliver a compilation of the proceedings of the WISE Conference with a conference report to the UN to advance sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals for leaving no one behind.
